With Google’s new “Manual Actions” section in your Webmaster Tools account, webmasters now have a clear path towards regaining lost traffic and rankings.
This infographic explains the process of filing a Successful Reconsideration Request with Google. Contrary to what many people believe, filing a letter to Google telling them you’ve disavowed all your links and promising you’ll never do it again won’t work. Google sent you to jail; they won’t let you out on a token action and an empty promise.
